Traci Lopez – President

Traci was born and raised in Cincinnati, Ohio. In 2004, Traci moved to San Antonio, Texas where she resides today. Traci has three children-Jack (15), Isabella (13) and Ava (10).

Traci attended Miami University in Ohio where she obtained a Bachelors of Science degree in Nursing. Traci worked as a Registered Nurse in an Adult Neurosurgical ICU and a Pediatric ICU/CCU. She also worked as a Pharmaceutical Sales Representative with Astra Zeneca Pharmaceuticals. In late 2003 after the birth of her first child, Traci decided to become a stay at home Mother.  In early 2015, Traci re-entered the medical field.  Currently, Traci is working as an Aesthetic Nurse at Dr. Rogers Centers in San Antonio.

After the tragedy, that she faced in April, 2009 after being struck by an intoxicated driver Traci decided to start the nonprofit organization Ava’s Wish, which is named after her youngest daughter who sustained almost life threatening injuries. Today, Traci is busy raising her three children , working as a Registered Nurse in Aesthetics and devoting much of her time to making Ava’s Wish a success.

In her spare time, Traci enjoys exercising, especially running and spending time with family and friends.



Erin Dwyer Bley – Secretary
Erin works for Kaufman | Killen land use law firm in Governmental Relations and as Project Manager. In her role, she coordinates with governmental entities and stakeholders on behalf of clients on matters that require support/approval by the community, governmental entity and/or government administration. Erin also assists clients with land use issues, economic development/incentives, and is a registered lobbyist with the City of San Antonio.

Erin previously worked as Manager for The Urban Land Institute (ULI) San Antonio where she grew the local district council substantially over four years. ULI is a global, nonprofit research and educational organization which represents every profession in the real estate development/land use industry, with over 350 members locally.
Erin has over 17 years’ experience in business, marketing and the real estate development industry. She owned and managed a successful real estate development company in New Hampshire for several years before moving back to her hometown of San Antonio. In her spare time, she enjoys activities with her two daughters.

Damon Mimari – Treasurer

Dr. Damon Mimari was born and raised in San Antonio, TX. Upon completion of his undergraduate studies and obtaining a Bachelor’s Degree in Science, he followed in his father Dr. George Mimari’s footsteps, and attended medical school at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, TX. After graduating from Galveston and earning his medical degree, he began and completed his residency in General Surgery at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio, TX.

Upon completion of his General Surgery residency in 2009, he joined Dr. George Mimari’s practice. In 2011, Dr. Damon Mimari and Dr. George Mimari merged their practice with the START Center for Cancer Care.

Dr. Damon Mimari has a wide range of surgical interests. He is an expert in advanced minimally invasive surgery, particularly his use and mastery of the DaVinci Robotic Surgical system. Dr. Mimari is a very high volume robotic surgeon, with an annual case volume among the highest globally. In 2017 and 2018, Dr. Mimari performed more DaVinci Single-Site cholecystectomies (gallbladder removal) than anybody worldwide. Dr. Mimari also has among the highest case volumes for robotic hernia repair (inguinal, ventral, incisional, etc.). Dr. Mimari has done additional training on advanced techniques for robotic colon and colorectal surgery, sharpening a unique skill set to deliver state of the art minimally invasive surgery for his patients. Dr. Mimari also has an interest in surgical diseases of the breast, and is currently working in a collaborative manner to help adapt and potentially apply minimally invasive and robotic surgical techniques to treat surgical diseases of the breast.

Dr. Mimari is certified by the American Board of Surgery and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He is a member of the American Medical Association, the Texas Medical Association, the Bexar County Medical Society, and the J. Bradley Aust Surgical Society. He is the former Chief of the Department of Surgery for St. Luke’s Baptist Hospital. He serves as a mentor and proctor for surgeons learning and implementing the DaVinci Robotic Surgical platform to their practice.

Dr. Mimari is the proud father of three children (Cade, Ashlyn, and Lila). When not working, he enjoys spending his time with his kids and loved ones. His personal hobbies include running, traveling, and beach time.


Selena Aleman – 

Selena Aleman grew up in San Antonio graduating from Churchill High School then earning a degree in Communications from St Edwards University in Austin, TX.

Upon returning to San Antonio, Selena wanted to make a difference in the community that she calls home. She began working on campaigns for local politicians raising money and organizing fundraisers. During this time Selena also worked for the family business. Selrico Services. In 2010, Selena started Adelaide Services, LLC specializing in federal contracting that continues to grow.

Selena continues to be active in her community and is a member of the Leadership San Antonio Class of 40. Ava’s Wish is very dear to Selena and she looks forward to helping the organization grow. During her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her daughter Sasha 10, working out at Core Physique and running.
